Coding Specialist
This position is accountable for processing medical claim information through data-entry in the Practice Management System and researching and correcting data entry errors using various electronic healthcare systems. This position uses knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes to determine the appropriate order and combination of alpha, numeric or symbolic data to ensure accuracy in entering medical claim information by following the Organization's and Department's established policies and procedures. Patient Relations Representative
Coordinate and facilitate patient billing and collection activities. Follow patient

Medical Billing Supervisor
Responsible for ensuring charges and payments are posted in a timely manner by following the Organization's and Department's established policies and procedures.
· Assist in the daily activities of the Business Office including basic coding, data entry, patient registration and claim review in an effort to resolve all patient inquiries and/ or disputes.
· Responsible for the processing of medical claim insurance payments, patient payments, and applying insurance adjustments through data-entry in the Practice Management System (PM).
· Responsible for managing the use of adjustment codes, contractual adjustment codes, non-contractual adjustments codes, and bad debt codes.
· Responsible for managing low reimbursements and determining when a reimbursement requires appeal.
· Development of a streamlined process for billing secondary claims and EOBs that need follow up.
· Manage recoupment of payments.
· Oversee the identification and research of refunds to patient and insurances.
· Support and assist in the follow up and identification of billing issues for outstanding claims.
· Remain current on the specific data requirements as dictated by various government and private insurance carriers.
· Assist management in maintaining the allowable fee schedules in the practice management system.
· Responsible for ERA posting of payments and working any related rejection/ exception reports. Assists with reconciliation of the EFT process.
· Ensure accurate reimbursement is being received for services rendered.
· Enter alpha, numeric or symbolic data from source documents into PM for patient billing purposes using knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes.
· Balance daily batches and reports. Researches and corrects discrepancies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage the work of Data Entry Department.
· Encourage the ongoing development and education of staff.
· Lead the development of departmental goals, objectives and systems.
· Active participant in the annual review process of staff.
· Provide guidance and direction to Data Entry Department to insure adherence to all policies and procedures.
· Work closely with Management to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of IMS.
· Provides continuing education with regard to insurance carrier changes and updates.
Knowledge, Education and Experience
· High School diploma or GED required. Bachelors Degree a plus.
· Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT codes, and insurance carriers claim requirements.
· Minimum of 2 years supervisory or equivalent experience in a medical billing office.
· Minimum of 2-3 years experience with Medical Insurance Billing Process.

Credentialing Specialist

We have an immediate opening for a Credentialing Specialist with a minimum of 3 years credentialing experience in hospital, managed care setting or a physician practice. The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for completing and submitting third party payor credentialing for all IMS providers. The Professional Services Trainer is responsible for delivering a broad range of direct training, education and position development for staff employed within the IMS Professional Services Department to increase job knowledge, develop skills and influence behavior. Additionally, as directed, needed and/or instructed the individual will coordinate with managers and supervisors to develop written policies, procedures, guidelines or tools to support the training and education efforts. Requirements include a minimum of 6 months in IMS professional services, with documented satisfactory performance in current role. Understanding of teaching and learning theories, helpful. High school education required; Some college education or Bachelor's degree, preferred. Recommendation of current IMS Manager, required (if IMS employee).
