Hearing Aids Available at Biltmore Ear, Nose & Throat

Did you know the most accurate and comprehensive testing for a hearing aid is performed by an Audiologist? Rather than receive a ‘screening’ at a storefront hearing aid dispenser, why not meet with a Biltmore Ear, Nose & Throat Audiologist who has a greater depth of knowledge and conducts in-depth testing for the hearing aid you really need.

Dr. Elaine Slepak of Biltmore Ear Nose and Throat in Phoenix, Arizona recently joined with hearing care professionals from across the US to attend an international conference on the latest developments in hearing care. Dr. Slepak traveled to Copenhagen, Denmark to meet with the leading audiologists, researchers and engineers responsible for many of the newest and most successful breakthroughs in hearing care. The nearly week-long professional gathering included seminars held at the world headquarters of leading hearing instrument manufacturer, Oticon, Inc. and at Oticon’s world-renown Eriksholm Research Center.

“The opportunity to meet and learn from the hearing solutions teams at Oticon provided invaluable insight into the newest advances in hearing care and hearing device technology and offered me a glimpse of where hearing care is going in the future,” stated Dr. Slepak. “It is truly amazing that information shared nearly half-way round the world will enable me to provide immediate benefits for people with hearing loss in the Phoenix area.”

Dr. Slepak explained that today, technological advances in both form and function are breaking down many of the barriers that cause people to hesitate to seek help for their hearing loss. “Hearing devices today are a quantum leap forward from old-fashioned hearing aids of just 10 years ago,” she explains. “Now I can offer my patients sleek, advanced technology options that look and perform like modern communication devices. Hearing devices with wireless Bluetooth connectivity to phones, MP3 players and even televisions enable me to answer my patients’ requests for ‘most wanted’ features.”

Dr. Slepak noted that conference participants devoted considerable time to better understanding the motivations, lifestyle needs and personal preferences of people with hearing loss. “Just as every hearing loss is unique, so also is every individual with hearing loss,” she stated. “The insights gained at the conference have enhanced my ability to insure that the hearing solutions my patients choose are the ones best suited to their hearing loss and their lifestyles.”   For more information about hearing health and hearing solutions, contact Dr.Sleapk at 602-956-3900.
